Sox lose in Miller Park 4-3

March 29th, from the Associated Press

Alex Ochoa and Jeffrey Hammonds homered and drove in two runs each, leading the Milwaukee Brewers over the Chicago White Sox 4-3 Friday night

Dan Wright delivers.

Ochoa's two-run homer against loser Gary Glover followed a leadoff double by Geoff Jenkins and broke a 2-2 tie in the seventh.

Newly acquired reliever Jose Cabrero allowed one hit in two scoreless innings and got the win. Mike DeJean got the save, allowing a run in the ninth.

The Brewers (16-16) are 4-0 against the White Sox (9-21-1) this spring. They meet again Saturday in Milwaukee.

Friday night's game drew 19,176, a stark contrast to the sellout crowd of 41,544 who attended last year's Miller Park exhibition opener against the Chicago White Sox.

Dan Wright allowed consecutive singles to Eric Young, Ron Belliard and Hammonds leading off the first.

Carlos Lee's two-run single off Ruben Quevedo put Chicago ahead in the sixth but Hammonds tied it in the bottom half against Lorenzo Barcelo with his firsthomer of the spring.
