March 27th, from the Associated Press

Jenkins, who has five homers this spring, hit a leadoff homer against White Sox starter Jim Parque in the fourth inning.

With the score tied at 4 in the seventh, Richie Sexson, Jenkins and Alex Ochoa hit consecutive homers off Gary Glover (1-2).

Rookie Nick Neugebauer, trying to make the Brewers' roster as a No. 5 starter, overcame early control problems and pitched four hitless innings. He struck out six, walked four and allowed one run.

Neugebauer helped himself by hitting a solo homer.

Paul Rigdon, a right-hander who is Neugebauer's main competitor for the final spot in the rotation, entered the game in the fifth and allowed four runs and four hits in 2 1-3 innings.

The Brewers, who have not had a winning record in spring training since 1995 nor in the regular season since 1992, improved to 15-15.
