Todd Ritchie got the win after pitching 6 1-3 innings, allowing five runs on 11 hits with no walks and four strikeouts.

``He's one of our horses, we have to keep him going,'' said Chicago manager Jerry Manuel. ``He's progressing with his pitch count and he was able to get the job done.''

Willie Harris had three hits as the White Sox stopped a five-game losing streak.

Pedro Feliz homered for the Giants.

Joe Nathan took the loss, allowing six runs on eight hits in 3 1-3 innings. He walked five and struck out three.

``I felt good until I got a little tired going into the fourth,'' said Nathan. ``I started losing my control and started falling behind.''

Rowand gave Chicago a 1-0 lead in the second with his fourth home run of the spring. He also drove in a run in the third.

The White Sox overcame a 3-2 deficit when Durham hit his grand slam off Nathan in the fourth.

Clayton hit a two-run homer in the seventh. Ritchie also drove in a run, and Michael Zywica scored on an error.

Feliz hit his home run, his first, in the eighth.

Notes: Royce Clayton extended his hitting streak to 17 games,  Aaron Rowand has hit safely in 12 of 14 games.
