"Hey boss, maybe we should invoke Frank's diminished skills clause before he hits any more dingers?"

Totally Biased
Series Update

Short Take:  Big Frank with big blast!

For 8.5 innings, two outs, and two strikes, our Chicago White Sox looked like the roadkill they have been in the entire previous three games of this pathetic series against Cleveland.  Then Frank Thomas got just enough of one to put it just beyond the wall in left-centerfield and the Sox go on to win, 7-6 with a four-run ninth inning.

Hey Sox Fans, we didn't even need that game-ending third strike, did we?  Had 'em all the way!!!

This was easily the biggest homerun Frank Thomas has made since returning from arm surgery over a year ago.  The three-run shot was on top of another rbi collected by the Big Hurt on a sacrifice fly in the fifth.

Okay, Cleveland sucks.  They were begging to get beat.  Tribe pitchers issued seven walks, including four in the glorious ninth.  Three of the four runs scored were from walks.  It was a beautiful thing.

Rocky Biddle got the start.  He lasted into the sixth, giving up four runs, three of them on two dingers.  Reliever Mike Porzio did him no favors, allowing two more runs and extending Cleveland's lead to 6-3.

Ah, but that only made the outcome all the more dramatic, eh Sox Fans?  Off to Kansas City, and more opportunities to fatten up on the pathetic A.L. Central Division--assuming they don't fatten up on us first.

WSI's
Tinkerer Update:
Jimenez back at short, Harris at second.  Joe Borchard rotting on the bench.

Frank Thomas

His three-run dinger with two strikes and two outs in the ninth inning tied the game and led to the comeback victory.  Easily the biggest homerun he's had since last year's injury.
