WSI News - WSI Spotlight

Welcome Sox Fans!

SoxFest gets totally biased at the WSI booth!

Let's Go Go Go White Sox, Chicago's Proud of You!

Let me hear it!

Official Fight Song of White Sox Interactive!

Updated 5 pm (CT), Sunday, February 3 with SoxFest  t-shirt winners!  (more news to follow)

Feb. 3  A special welcome to Sox Fans from SoxFest visiting WSI for the first time.  From five measly pages launched in 1998, White Sox Interactive has grown to be the largest Sox Fan site on the internet, routinely serving over 100,000 page views per day.  Unlike commercial sites, White Sox Interactive is written and produced 100 percent by Sox Fan volunteers.  We proudly proclaim ourselves to be "Totally Biased, Utterly Petty, Completely Unobjective."

Special greetings, too, to Tribune Sox beatwriter Paul Sullivan who visited the WSI booth.  Sully was a good sport and agreed to arm-wrestle WSI webmaster George Bova--and we've got photographic proof!  It was a staged shot, but PaleHoseGeorge says he's sure he could take him!

For first-time visitors, here's a few of the unique WSI features you shouldn't miss.  They're all totally biased.  What else did you expect?

Free T-shirt Winners from SoxFest!
Friday's Winners:    Larry Baker and Jake Urbanowski

Totally Biased Game Recaps

White Sox Interactive's signature feature.  Every Sox game recapped the way you as a Sox Fan saw it play out.  No pretense of journalistic balance, WSI gives you the Sox Fan's slant on every game.  If the mainstream media's Sox coverage leaves you cold, White Sox Interactive is the place to feel the passion!  Check out any of our 2001 game recaps following this link.  Check out some of the other 2001 totally biased coverage clicking here!

The Glorious 2000 Season

Unlike the disappointing 2001 season, the 2000 season brings back fond memories for most Sox Fans.  Nobody covered the A.L. Central Division White Sox quite like WSI!  Click here and see what we mean!  Relive all the glory, Sox Fans!

Fun & Games, Sights & Sounds--for Sox Fans!

Measure your Sox Fan knowledge with WSI Quizzes.  Recall nicknames of long-departed Sox greats with WSI Nickname Riddlers.  WSI has the widest variety of great Sox fight songs, and even more great moments in Sox history as captured on the radio--including Ted Kluszewski's homerun clout in Game 1 of the '59 World Series!  Visit the Sox Fun & Games page and have a totally biased blast--White Sox Interactive style!

You can buy merchandise at our online Supporters Shop, too!

More Sox History than any other site on the web!

Relive past Sox glory (like 1959, and 1977) with the totally biased slant from WSI's History and Glory page.  Recapture the greatest of legendary Sox feats in WSI's Sox Greats.  Be sure to check out WSI's Memories of Old Comiskey Park, the internet's first (and still the largest) loving tribute to Charles Comiskey's Baseball Palace of the World!  You simply can't get this depth of coverage anywhere else but White Sox Interactive!

More, More, and More--for totally biased Sox Fans!

2002 player pages with stats, attitude, and a bit of fun!  "At a Glance" minor league schedules for every team from Rookie-Bristol up to Triple-A Charlotte.   Read about Disco Demolition, Harry Caray, and Falstaff beer, too.  If it's got anything to do with the White Sox, White Sox Interactive is covering it--with the totally biased slant Sox Fans expect!

Most of all, White Sox Interactive features the largest, most innovative, and liveliest message board forums for Sox Fans on the internet.  It's not even close.  Check it out and join the fun with your fellow totally biased Sox Fans--free from Cubs fan trolls, and obnoxious spam!

Totally Biased, Utterly Petty, Completely Unobjective.  If you bleed sliver and black, Sox Fans, you've come to the right place.  Enjoy!

2002 WSI Arm-Wrestling Tournament Update!

After two days of action, the official WSI scoreboard reads:  "Clayton 3, Valentin 3."  Wherever the Clayton supporters are, they sure aren't showing up at SoxFest.  Finding anyone to who wouldn't prefer Valentin over Clayton at shortstop proved a challenge for the second straight day.  Fortunately, WSI's switch-hitter, Scott Armstrong willingly took the other side and wrestled on behalf of Clayton.  Wearing his authentic game-used Clayton batting jersey (quite obviously, hardly worn), Scott flattened all competition.  With the score now tied, it all comes down to the final day of arm-wrestling action.  If you can make it to SoxFest, this is your chance to do something in the Clayton vs. Valentin shortstop showdown!

French Fry Boy still has plenty of napkins to sign, including several featuring the snazzy Dairy Queen logo.  Stop by the booth and get this one-of-a-kind collectible.  They're absolutely FREE!  If you're coming to the booth, be sure to present this $1 coupon off Dan Helpinstine's book, Through Hope and Despair.  Just print it out here

More totally biased news from SoxFest tomorrow!

SoxFest is held February 1-3 in the Hyatt Regency Hotel in downtown Chicago.  You can buy tickets in advance at the team's official website,

"We came, we saw, we conquered!"
