Pre-Game Report

Sox Fans will never again be able to claim their team never gets the lucky breaks.  After struggling just to split a series with the pathetic Tampa Bay Devil Rays, they are the luckiest team in the universe.  Jon Garland carried his entire team, the entire pathetic lot of them, on his back for six straight innings.  Tampa Bay finally blew it and the Sox walk off with an undeserved win.  Sox 4, Tampa Bay 3.

If  there was any justice in this world, Garland would get the win for himself, while his teammates would still be stuck on 52 wins.  As it is, he doesn't even get credit for the win.  You think Jon wouldn't love to bug out on this outfit with Mark Buehrle?  Who can honestly blame them?

Garland got touched for three runs on one mistake to some slug named Aubrey Huff.  After that he was brilliant.  Eight strikeouts against two walks--and not a single hit allowed.  What a waste having him pitch on Jerry Reinsdorf's plantation.

Wavin' Wallace Johnson picked up right where he left off this past weekend.  He nearly got Aaron Rowand thrown out by failing to signal a slide on Rowand's triple.  He sent Rowand home with less than two out on an infield grounder, Rowand out easily.  Willie Harris was thrown out trying to score, too.

Isn't it about time for Kenny Williams to issue another vote of confidence to one of the organization's incompetent toadies?  It takes one to know one, eh Sox Fans!

Kudos to Magglio Ordonez for his solo dinger.  Nice going grounding out in the sixth when any kind of flyball plates a run, too.

Special mention to Paul Konerko.  He just happened to be at the plate when Tampa relief ace Esteban Yan imploded, allowing one run to score on a wild pitch, then served a mistake that Konehead managed to turn into an rbi-single.

The middle of the Sox lineup is a joke.

Mark Johnson was as close to a hitting hero in this brain-dead outfit Jerry "The Tinkerer" Manuel fielded.  His eighth inning triple gave the Sox the winning run.  Oh, brother...

More pain and agony waiting for Sox Fans back at Comiskey where the Anaheim Angels are waiting to pound on this pathetic rabble of The Tinkerer's.

Tinkerer Update:
Willie Harris in center field.  Way to screw with the kid's head!

Jon Garland

Seven innings pitched allowing just three hits, striking out eight and walking just two.  Carried this brain-dead outfit on his back waiting for Tampa Bay to finally implode.
