For a turn, Ritchie down

White Sox pitcher Todd Ritchie, the subject of trade talk, will miss his scheduled start today with inflammation in his right shoulder.

"I don't think it's anything to worry about," said Ritchie, who expects to miss just one start. "It was just a little more sore than usual after my last start. I wanted to check it out and make sure it was OK. I've been taking anti-inflammatories, and it seems to react good to it right now."

Ritchie, rumored to be included with Frank Thomas in a trade to Boston a deal the Sox reportedly nixed is 5-14 with a 6.12 ERA in 22 games. He's worked 125 innings, third behind Mark Buehrle (149) and Dan Wright (127) on the staff.
