Enquiring Sox Fans want to know!

If only Sox Fans knew...
 Last Series vs. Royals (7/17-7/18)
  • The Sox were swept in a two-game set.
  • The Sox were outscored 13-9.
  • The Sox are 2-4 since that series ended.
  • Damaso Marte recieved his first loss in the second game of this series
 Totally Biased Sox Notes!
  • Sox #5 pitcher Todd Ritchie is keeping an iron grip on having the most losses in the majors, now at 14.
  • Sox slugger Frank Thomas is starting to heat, cranking a 495-ft. blast last night that is the longest in New Comiskey history, and nearly hit the founder of WSI, George Bova.
  • In the words of Paul Simon, the Sox' team batting average is 'Slip, sliding away'. It's now down to .266, where it continues to hit new lows.
  • The Sox' ERA is balloning to one of the worst in the AL, at 4.90
 Know thy Enemy!
  • Former Sox player Mike Caruso now plays for the Royals. He has a batting average of .077. No wonder we got rid of him.
  • Outfielders Raul Ibanez and Carlos Beltran on July 22 were named American League Co-Players of the Week. Ibanez had two homers and 16 RBI in nine games while batting .333 (12-for-36).  Beltran batted .417 (15-for-36) with three doubles, a triple, two homers and nine RBI in nine games.
  • The Royals only have one regular batting over .270, Mike Sweeney. Not even the Sox are that bad.
  • The Royals have an even worse team ERA of 5.03
 What to watch for!
  • Lots of beer at hot Comiskey Park.
  • Royals fans saying,"Boy, this team sucks worse than ours!"
  • Lots of longballs in game three, where the two pitchers combined records is 13- 22.
  • New Sox pitching coach Don Cooper to blaze a path to the pitching mound.
