Enquiring Sox Fans want to know!

If only Sox Fans knew...
 Last Series vs. Royals (6/3-6/6)
  • The Sox and Royals split a four game set.
  • The Sox outscored the Royals 15-8.
  • This series would be the last that the Sox were above .500.
  • A win in the first game of this series ended a seven game losing streak. Has it gotten much better, Sox fans?
 Totally Biased Sox Notes!
  • What's there to say, Sox fans? This team has quit.
  • Todd Ritchie leads not just the team, not just the AL, but the Majors in losses. Just the kind of veteran presence this team needed.
  • Run support, anyone? After averaging 6.5 runs of support for their pitchers early in the season, the Sox "o" has slumped, and is now only providing 5.4 runs of support.
  • Frank Thomas and Kenny Lofton have batted .170 and .180 since June 1st, respectively. No wonder the Sox are faltering.
  • Paul Konerko leads the team in games (92), average (.325), hits (112), total bases (197), homers (22), RBI (74), and OPS (.949), and heart, among many other things!
  • Ummm, Mark Buehlre is third in the AL with 135 2/3 innings pitched this year. This guy is the rotation. He also gets 7.4 runs of production per start, second in the Majors, only to Colorado's Jason Jennings. Believe it or not, Jon Rauch got 11.7 runs of support while he pitched, but still did not win!
 Know thy Enemy!
  • The Royals are not quite an offensive juggernaut. They are batting .248, with only 76 homeruns. No en fuego!
  • Mike Sweeny is the offense on this team, leading the team in average, hits, total bases, doubles, home runs, walks, OBP, OPS, and slugging. We'd be better of walking him.
  • Paul Byrd, however, is a pitching juggernaut. He's is tied for the league lead in wins. He is also the best chance the Royals have of winniing a game.
  • The Royals have even less support for their pitchers, averaging only 4.5 runs of support.
  • Sine the actual big league team isn't any good, I found out an interesting fact about one of their minor league teams. They are actually named the Wilmington Blue Rocks. The sCrubbies are everywhere!
 What to watch for!
  • Watch for people in Kansas City laughing that a manager could constantly trot out a joke of a pitcher in Todd Ritchie.
  • Lots of tall midgets.
  • The WSI Wiz to predict another loss, and for the WSI Wiz to be right once again.
  • Ray Durham to be traded to an actual baseball team.
  • A new lineup every day.
