WSI FARM TIDBITS:

Kippy getting some press time in Charlotte:

Low & behold even the Charlotte press have noticed how well Kip Wells is pitching for the Pittsburg Pirates.  Wells had some playing time with the Knights when he was in the Sox's system.  Here is a link to the article:  Former Knight's no-hitter foiled

MLB Boycott:

Quite a few of you might be aware that there is a fan boycott of Major League Baseball on this Thursday.  Now minor league baseball is not affected, but when you log onto WSI Thursday and find that this section is not updated it is not because of the boycott.  I will be out of town since it is a holiday weekend!

Pack your bags:

Josh Paul was sent back down to Charlotte because Sandy Alomar was reinstated from the DL.

Complete story from Knights website

All-Star Knights:

Joe Crede and Edwin Almonte were selected to represent the Knights in the International League's All-Star game on July 10th.

Minor League Baseball = Family Friendly:

With prices rising yearly for families who attend Major League baseball games there is a more economical baseball game out there being played in a town near you.  Here is a great article from Minor League Baseball's website
