Enquiring Sox Fans want to know!

If only Sox Fans knew...
 Last Series vs. Tigers
  • The Sox took two of three from the Tigers.
  • The Sox outscored the Tigers 20-14.
  • Tigers starter Adam Benero won his first start in a 9-2 win against the Sox.
  • This series started the Sox woes, as we have been 12-20 since.
 Totally Biased Sox Notes
  • The Sox are much more comfortable at home, sporting a 24-16 record. (as of 6/29/02)
  • The Sox are nearly the mirror image of their opponents in batting average (.267-.266), hits (730-728), and HR (94-92)
  • Paul Konerko is a man possessed. He is now leading the ML in RBI's, third in the AL in BA, and 4th in the AL in HR's.
  • The White Sox have given their pitchers 5.5 runs odf support this year, but most of that is to Sox ace, Mark Buehrle. Ritchie and Wright recieve 4.6 and 4.8 runs of support, respectively.
 Know thy Enemy!
  • The Tigers are near the bottom of the Major Leagues with 285 runs this year. Comerica Park isn't helping that figure.
  • The Tigers can't make contact with the ball this year, with an average of .251.
  • Comerica Park is helping the Tigers pitching this year, as they have allowed only 68 home runs this year.
  • Tiger pitchers only get 3.8 runs of support. I didn't know Todd Ritchie was pitching for them, too.
 What to watch for!
  • Will Konerko be on the All-Star ballot next year?
  • Will the Sox continue to ply with this newfound "fire"?
  • Is any lead safe against the Sox?
  • Will Josh Paul slow down?
