Enquiring Sox Fans want to know!

If only Sox Fans knew...
 Last Series vs. Phillies
  • The Sox and the Phils have not met this year, or anytime in the past in the regular season or postseason.
  • So far against the NL this year, the Sox are 3-5 (as of 6/15)
 Totally Biased Sox Notes
  • In the month of June, the Sox "o" has averaged 4.3 runs per game, down quite a bit from April when it was high above six. What happened? (See also: Phillies, Philadelphia.)
  • The Sox have given up 45 unearned runs this year, by far the most in the Majors. Of course, it's not Royce Clayton's fault!
  • The Sox have had trouble closing the door this year, converting on only 12 of 18 save opportunities.
  • Only Konerko, Ordonez, and Alomar have more RBI's than strikeouts this year, and only Lofton has more BB's than SO's. These guys are starting to look like the Brewers.
 Know thy Enemy!
  • The Philadelphia Phillies play in hell, other wise known as Vetrans Stadium. Let's hope the astroturf dosen't hurt our defense!
  • Be afraid, be very afraid! Of Robert Person's bat, that is! In one game earlier this year, he helped his cause by slugging 2 home runs, with seven RBI's, including one grand slam! He'll give Royce a run for his money!
  • The Phillies have finally found a closer in Jose Mesa, who has converted 18 of 21 save opportunities, with a low 2.64 ERA.
  • The Phillies are only giving their pitcher 4.5 runs of support this year, which i one of the big reasons they are down so much this year. (See also: White Sox, Chicago.)
 What to watch for!
  • Will the "o" ever come back? (It dosen't even deserve to be capitalized)
  • Will young guns, and buds Jon Garland and Mark Buehrle bounce back from tough starts against the Cubs?
  • Will the Sox pitchers help their own cause by belting a few?
  • Will Jerry stop tinkering?
