Sox Drop a Duece to Evil Empire Jr.

August 24 vs. Evil Empire Jr.

Back to the Grind,
or Just Grinded?

Today's Sox cut of meat:
Ground Beef Directly From Meat Grinder
Looks like puke and will eventually make you puke, like today's events at Comiskey Park

Short Take:Jon Garland, John Danks, and Gavin Floyd all do Sox fans *proud* in displaying the *greatness* that is the pitching staff on the south side of Chicago, allowing the Evil Empire Jr. to have a field day during both games of today's double-header.

Jon Garland, John Danks, and Gavin Floyd, come on down! You're the next lucky graduates of the Jamie Navarro School of Pitching! All three caused Sox fans a great deal of acid reflux during today's double dip against the Evil Empire Jr. Our Sox lost both games by a combined score of 21-4 (11-3 in the first game, 10-1 in the second).

To spare all of you, my fellow Sox fans, of having to re-visit the bulk of the junk that happened in the day that was, I will just recap today's highlights, which were few and far between today. In the opening game, Josh Fields hit a two-run shot in the bottom of the fifth, which looked to give the Good Guys a shot at this one. In the nightcap, Juan Uribe hit his own round-tripper in the bottom of the second. Unfortunately, that's all that's really worth writing about.

But, it'll take a lot for the Evil Empire Jr. to fully deliver revenge for our sweep of them in the 2005 ALDS. Don't you ever forget this, Sox fans. Tomorrow, our hero Mark Buehrle will tow the rubber against Tim Wakefield. Wakefield will be without his custom catcher Doug Maribelli, which bodes well for our Palehose. Gametime is at 2:55 and can be seen on FOX Chicago.

Back to the Grind Update:
I just ground every single one of my teeth down to my gums. The Sox owe me $10,000 for teeth replacements.

Josh Fields and Juan Uribe

The only two bright spots in this dismal double-header. Both hit round-trippers.
