PSYCHIC
Pre-Game Report

Inside
JERRY'S HEAD

They've loss six in a row.  They're now ten games beneath .500.  They laid down and let Kyle "Big Top" Lohse humiliate them in front of the the hometown fans at Comiskey Park, shutout 5-0.

If you got in for half-price for this game, you got ripped off.  Collect your Pepsi can and demand a refund.

Eight strikeouts for Big Top.  He threw a complete-game shutout.  Big Top's giant cap covered nearly his entire globe.  Sox Fans half-expected to see a Volkswagen loaded with clowns to come popping out of his ear.

Jim Parque was flattened.  He did the miniature-sized version of Gary Glover's trick from Monday, giving up a solo dinger in the first inning.  Hey, it could have been worse.  It could have been THREE DINGERS in the first inning, right Sox Fans?

Jerry "The Tinkerer" Manuel decided to screw around some more with his lineup.  Nobody inside or outside the clubhouse pays much attention to what this man says or does anymore.  The last bit of effort this team would exert for its manager came and went weeks ago.  Hasn't that become obvious, Sox Fans?

Aaron Rowand got to lead off.  He's been doing fairly well in the #2 hole, so why not pull his chain?  He went 0 for 4 with a K.  Now he can join everyone else wondering what's wrong with himself.  Nothing a whole new baseball season wouldn't cure.  Playing for a different team wouldn't hurt either.

Besides Rowand, kudos to Paul Konerko, Frank Thomas, Joe Crede, and Willie Harris.  They didn't have a hit between them all night.  You guys set the standard for Sox excellence in August, 2002.

Minnesota goes for the sweep Wednesday.  Our guys go for their paycheck.

WSI's
Tinkerer Update:
Rowand leads off, Valentin back to #2.  Why?  WHY NOT?
