September 26... Sweep in SoCal
Tony Peņa pitched well and the offense came through when it mattered late in the ballgame, guaranteeing themselves a 4-3 victory and a winning record on their final road trip of the 2010 season.
Sox and the Media
Part I. What Sox media coverage came before 2005 and what has resulted in the time since our Sox won Chicago's first baseball championship in 8+ decades is a subject of great interest -- and sometimes anger -- for a very large number of Sox Fans. WSI's Mark Liptak takes WSI's totally biased fans on an exhaustive review of key events and quotable quotes every Sox Fan should know.
September 19... Stranded Runners in Excess Lead to More Futility
Just when you thought things couldnt get worse for this team, they did in a way we never thought possible... by stranding 21 runners on base! Completely dreadful.
September 12... A Harrell-Raising Afternoon of Baseball
Lucas Harrell showed why he'd be a phenomenal AAAA pitcher, only lasting 3 1/3 innings. Lucky for him, though, the offense showed up in a big way.
September 5... Sox "Walk" Away with a Sweep of Boston
Mark Buehrle wasn't sharp and the offense went 3-for-17 with runners in scoring position, but their patience at the plate paid off late in the ballgame.
September 4 (Game 1)... Danks Beats the Sawx
Johnny Danks goes seven strong innings and the Good Guys take advantage of some clutch hitting to beat Boston 3-1 and extend the winning streak to four games.
