In case you hadn't heard, the Chicago White Sox have started the season as the hottest team in baseball! Without his best stuff, Orlando Hernandez, combined with clutch offense and timely Twin mistakes, out battle Brad Radke en route to 3-1 win and 2-game sweep of division rivals.
Who to Close?
While the improvement in the '05 Sox starting rotation gets most of the headlines, the bullpen is vastly improved over 2004, too. With so many more quality options available to skipper Ozzie Guillen, WSI's Hal Vickery wonders if a more democratic view of the closer's role might be in order?

Sox fans fret early, as offense sputters and Contreras wild, but everyone settles as Sox manufacture 5 runs en route to 5-4 win in 10 over Cleveland.

Sox spoil another opening day, this time it's the Indians. Ozzie's "smart ball" backs Freddy Garcia's dominating pitching for a 2-1 win.
