Sox Fans' Totally Biased Guide

April features an opening day shutout of Cleveland by Mark Buehrle, a sweep at Sox Park of Minnesota and two more sweeps on the road in Detroit and Kansas City.  Jon Garland wins four games pitching from the #5 spot of the rotation.  The '05 Sox finish the month with a 17-7 record, the best in baseball.

May features yet another 8-game winning streak, going 18-10 for the month. Jose Contreras and Freddy Garcia both beat the Lovable Losers at the Urinal and the '05 Sox finish May with a 35-17 record, a comfortable five games ahead of 3-time defending division champion Minnesota.

June is the hottest month yet, as the Sox surged to a 58-23 record on the strength of a blistering 18-7 monthly record.  Mark Buehrle collects his tenth win, Jon Garland wins his twelfth, and Frank Thomas returns from the disabled list hitting eight homeruns in 53 at-bats.  Minnesota is buried 10.5 games behind the Southsiders.

July is highlighted by throttling Cleveland four-straight games in Jacobs Field fresh after the all-star break.  Dustin Hermanson picks up his 24th save of the season and the Sox pad their lead to 14.5 games over the Tribe and Minnesota.  Mark Buehrle, Jon Garland and Paul Konerko are joined by Scott Podsednik at the all-star game in Detroit after totally biased Sox Fans make their presence felt in internet voting!  The '05 Sox compile a 15-11 record for the month, 68-35 overall, the best record in baseball.

August is the most difficult month of the season.  Though their record is just 12-16 for the month, the '05 Sox still managed thrilling victories including 2 of 3 inside Yankee Stadium and 2 of 3 inside the Hump Dome late in the month, effectively killing off Ron Gardenhire's 3-time division champions.  Jose Contreras is heating up, winning three games.  The '05 Sox finish the month with an 80-51 record, 7 ahead of the Cleveland team that didn't show up the first three months of the season.

September proves beyond any doubt that the Chicago sports media is filled with idiots who repeatedly used the word "choke" to describe a team that went 17-12 for the month.  Having already clinched in Detroit, the Sox travel to Cleveland and sweep the Indians clean out of the playoffs with three meaningless wins in a row.  Jose Contreras is a perfect 6-0 for the month and a tenth inning clout by Joe Crede to beat the Tribe, walk-off fashion, proves a turning point.  The '05 Sox finish the regular season with a 99-63 record, one win shy of the franchise record.  But the best is yet to come!

The Glorious Post Season features the most amazing pitching feats in White Sox history.  There is Orlando Hernandez, pitching in relief, getting 3 straight outs with the bases loaded and preserving a 1-run lead in the deciding game of the ALDS inside Boston's Fenway Park.  There is the four-consecutive complete game victories by Mark Buehrle, Jon Garland, Freddy Garcia, and Jose Contreras to throttle the Los Angeles Angels and clinch the American League pennant, Chicago's first in 46 years!  And of course there is the four-game sweep of Houston by a winning difference of just five runs!  Tough as nails pitching, timely hitting, and heroics provided by even the furthest end of the Sox bench, it is a complete team effort to win Chicago its first baseball world championship in 88 years.  NOBODY covers it with more passion than White Sox Interactive.  Relive it now!
